Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Overview

At Marine Boys, we are committed to your satisfaction. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are accepted for workwear and PPE products purchased from us.

This policy operates in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

 

2. Return Window

We accept returns within 7 days of the date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later. Requests made after this period will not be accepted unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

3. Eligibility for Return

To be eligible for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • In original, unused and unworn condition
  • In original packaging with all tags attached
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
  • Free from damage, odours, soiling, or signs of use

 

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom or personalised products
  • Clearance or final sale items (unless faulty)
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • PPE or safety equipment that has been opened and used

 

4. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us before sending any items back:

You will receive a Return Authorisation (RA) number, which must be included with your return. Returns sent without an RA number will not be accepted.

 

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable postage method, as Marine Boys is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.

 

Return shipping costs are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error (e.g. wrong item sent) or a confirmed product fault.

5. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of $10.00 or 10% of the item value (whichever is greater) applies to all approved change-of-mind returns. This fee will be deducted from your refund.

The restocking fee does not apply where the return is due to a product fault, damage, or an error on our part.

 

 

7. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome within 3 business days. If approved, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 business days.

 

Please note:

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable
  • Refund timing may vary depending on your bank or payment provider
  • Sale or discounted items are refunded at the price paid, not the full retail price

 

8. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for size or colour where stock is available. To request an exchange, contact us within 7 days of purchase. The fastest way to secure the item you want is to return the original and place a new order.

 

9. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.

 

For major failures as defined under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. For minor failures, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.

 

10. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

 

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under the ACL.
